When Lillie Mae Henson was born on October 14, 1922, in Mississippi, her father, Thomas, was 25, and her mother, Lelar, was 19. She married Charles DeFore Anderson on July 9, 1938, in Phillips, Arkansas. They had 14 children in 17 years. She died on July 21, 1969, in Cherry Valley, Arkansas, at the age of 46, and was buried in Walnut Corner, Arkansas.

When Charles DeFore Anderson was born on February 18, 1910, in Jackson, Tennessee, his father, Edward, was 43 and his mother, Lillie, was 34. He was married three times and had 16 children. He died on September 20, 1968, in Cherry Valley, Arkansas, at the age of 58, and was buried in West Helena, Arkansas.
