White River Current, Calico Rock, Arkansas, April 12, 2012:
Dean Sanders, son of the late Tim Sanders and Clemmie Lancaster Sanders, was born May 25, 1943 in Dolph, Arkansas. He departed this life April 9, 2012 in Calico Rock at the age of 68.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years; Betty Sanders of the home; three sons; Eric Sanders of Dolph, Greg Sanders of Joplin, Missouri and Bruce Sanders of Dolph; and a host of other relatives and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one grandson.
Funeral service will be Wednesday April 11, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Calico Rock Funeral Chapel with Raymon Carneal and Wayne Wood officiating. Burial will be at Dolph Baptist Cemetery under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock.

Betty Sue James Sanders, daughter of the late Delford T. James and Eva Crotts James, was born July 2, 1945 in Elizabeth, Arkansas. She departed this life March 27, 2018 in Calico Rock, Arkansas at the age of 72 years, 8 months and 25 days. She was united in marriage to Dean Sanders and together they raised three sons. Betty spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, homemaker and friend. She was an avid reader and enjoyed feeding wild birds that came to her yard and garden. During her working years, Betty was employed at the Glove Factory, retiring after 20 years of employment. She also worked several years at Sanders Plumbing in Pineville. At the time of her death, she worked a few days a week cleaning houses. She attended Dolph Baptist Church.
Betty is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law: Eric and Kim Sanders of Dolph, Greg Sanders of Dolph and Bruce and Micki Sanders of Calico Rock; three brothers and three sisters-in-law: Charles "Wilb" and Rhudeen James of Elizabeth, J. C. and Betty James of Elizabeth and Rex and Glenda James of Dolph; one sister: Erma Barnett and husband Gene of Batesville; four grandchildren: Bailey Whiteaker and husband Willie, Carson Gibson and husband Jonathan, Hannah Kent and husband Jake and Abby Sanders; three great grandchildren: Kenley Whiteaker, Jayaa Kent and Lewcas Gibson; one uncle: Thurman Crotts and wife Minnie of Melbourne; one brother-in-law: Al King of Marion; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and many good friends. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one brother: Bob James and wife Allene; two sisters: Audine Barnett and husband Carl and Linda Faye King and one grandson: Jeffery Layne Sanders.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 29 from 6-8 p.m. at Eddie’s Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock. Funeral service will be Friday, March 30 at 2:00 p.m. at Dolph Baptist Church with Ray Carneal and Wayne Wood officiating. Burial will be at Dolph Baptist Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to: Dolph Baptist Cemetery Maintenance Fund.
Pallbearers: Warren Sanders, Tommy Rand, Willie Whiteaker, Wade Sanders, Jonathan Gibson and Jake Kent.
Honorary Pallbearers: Kenneth Sanders and Jerry Sanders.
