Brenda Faye Osborne Flowers Johnson, 70, of Bradford, departed this life Monday, July 31, 2017 surrounded by family. She was born at home, in Bradford, Jackson County on June 13, 1947 to Pauline Osborne.
Brenda was preceded in death by her grandparents, Mark and Ann Osborne; her mother, Pauline Osborne Bettis; step-father, Jim Bettis; uncle Jack Cochran; aunt Aretta Holden; and uncle Deanie Osborne. Brenda and Deanie were in the same class in school and many people thought they were brother and sister.
Brenda is survived by her beloved son, Douglas (Alfalfa) Flowers; brothers, Jimmy Osborne, Marcus Bartley Bettis and wife Teresa, and Authur Dean Bettis and wife Melissa; uncles, Jerry, James, and Doyle Osborne; three nephews, Josh Osborne, Brian Osborne, and Marcus Bettis; four nieces, Paula Osborne, Lee Ann Bettis, Anna Tyrell and husband Ryan, and Kathryn Bettis; great nieces, Amelia Bettis, Andrea Needham and husband P.J., Gracelyn and Lydia Tyrell; Great Nephews, Colton, Brody and Braden Osborne, and Mathew and Wyatt Needham.
Some special friends Jeannie Hancock and family and Nicholas and Breda Bright who's daughters are Karlie and Kayelyn (Kk) were considered bonus nieces.
Brenda was a Christian, she was a member of Bradford Baptist Church. She loved the Lord and loved attending church as long as she was physically able. Brenda would tell you the gift of salvation was the most wonderful gift she ever received and she believed in the power of prayer.
Brenda loved her family and she loved children. If you were ever lucky enough to have Brenda babysit your child, then you and your child were blessed by a woman who was able to love all children as her own.
Brenda had worked at Pace Industries in Russell, Arkansas and G.I. in Bald Knob, Arkansas, also as a waitress. Brenda loved being around people and was a hard worker until she became disabled.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 2, 2017 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Services will be held Thursday, August 3, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Bradford Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Johnny VanWinkle and Bro. Llano Robinson officiating.
