December 31, 1915 - August 21, 2007
Maud Ammons, 91 of DeKalb, Texas formerly of Columbia County, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2007 in DeKalb, Texas.
She was born December 31, 1915 in McNeil, Arkansas to the late Harvey and Emma "Ollie" (Brasher) Burchfield. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Marvin Ammons, a twin brother, Claude Burchfield, brother, Coy Burchfield, one sister, Sula Sneed, and one grandson, Michael Ammons.
She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Simms of DeKalb, Texas; two sons, Gene Ammons of DeKalb, Texas, Jerry Ammons and his wife Mitzi of Magnolia, Arkansas; four grandchildren, five great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Graveside services will be Thursday, August 23, 2007 at 2:00 pm at Shiloh Cemetery with Bro. Eric Goble officiating under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. of Magnolia. Memorials may be made to Serenity Hospice at 4508 Texas Blvd, Texarkana, Texas 75501.
