Marjorie Beasley, 89 of Stephens, Arkansas died Monday, February 18, 2008 in her home in Stephens. She was born May 23, 1918 in the Taylor Township in Nevada County, Arkansas to the late Hatley and Elfride (Upchurch) Hambrice.
Marjorie was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Stephens. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Wade Beasley.
Survivors are her daughters, Liz Platt of Richardson, Texas, Jan Haws and husband Ron of Plano, Texas; sister, Jackie Malone of Willisville, Arkansas; granddaughters, Karen Sewell of New Braunfels, Texas, Holly Peritz and husband David of Dallas, Texas, Miriam Thompson and husband Don of Plano, Texas; great grandsons, Benn Sewell and Wade Sewell of New Braunfels, Texas, Gabriel Thompson of Plano, Texas; great granddaughter, Riley Thompson of Plano, Texas.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 23, 2008 at the First Baptist Church in Stephens with Bro. Bruce Murphy officiating and assisted Bro. Sam Farris. Burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. of Magnolia. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Mike Jackson, Tom Jackson, Bob Jackson, Jim Jackson, Jeff Hambrice, Milton Hambrice, Ronnie Hambrice, Gene Wreyford, Lauren Wreyford, Rodney Beasley, and Tom Beasley.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Stephens, AR.
