When Marion Scott Vandusen was born on August 24, 1870, in New Carlisle, Indiana, his father, Elijah, was 37 and his mother, Martha, was 35. He married Ida Rebecca "Becky" Vail and they had three children together. He then married Victoria Olive 'Ollie" March and they had five children together. He died on June 17, 1954, at the age of 83, and was buried in Stuttgart, Arkansas.
