HARLEY EDWIN HOLCOMB 89 of Siloam Springs, AR passed away on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at his home. Mr. Holcomb was born May 5, 1923 in Miller, MO; he was the son of Robert and Louella Holcomb. Harley married Mina Robbins on April 1, 1945 in Phelps, MO. Harley and Mina moved to Siloam Springs in 1946. Harley was a devout Christian who loved to sing. He was associated with several churches within the community, and was very involved as a song leader, Sunday school teacher, and being on the board of deacons along with other opportunities to serve within the church. At the time of his death he was currently a member of the Decatur Assembly of God Church. During his life he contributed to his community by being a member of the Gideon's, Lions Club, and also volunteered for many years as a little league baseball coach during the summer. Harley worked as an appliance repair technician for over 50 years, along with a variety of other occupations. During Harley and Mina's 67 years of marriage, they raised 5 children and numerous foster children. Their door was always open for any child in need. Survivors Include: Wife Mina Holcomb of the Home 1 Son: David Holcomb Siloam Springs, AR 4 Daughters: Carolyn Gordon Siloam Springs, AR Marilyn Mapes & husband Eddie Newton, KS Barbara Reynolds & husband Dule Siloam Springs, AR Holly Shackelford & husband Butch Fayetteville, AR Sister: Evelyn Shaw Greenville, IL 11 Grandchildren 23 Great Grandchildren 7 Great Great Grandchildren Visitation will be held Thursday, December 13, 2012 at the funeral home from 5pm - 8pm. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 14, 2012 at 2:00 pm at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Siloam Springs.

Mina Belle Holcomb, 90, of Siloam Springs, passed away Saturday, June 23, 2018 at her home.

Mina was born on June 17, 1928 in Des Moines Iowa, a daughter of Alvi Robbins and Ester Miller Robbins. She married Harley Holcomb on April 1, 1945 in Phelps, MO., who preceded her in death in 2012.

Mina enjoyed being a house wife, raising her five children, and many foster children. She loved having her grandchildren around as much as possible and absolutely loved to see and hold all infants.

Mina also held a strong faith in Jesus Christ and prayed constantly for her children and grandchildren, as well as anyone she met and interacted with. She enjoyed volunteering to play the piano and organ in church. She was a member of the Decatur Assembly of God.

She is survived by 1 son, David Holcomb of Siloam Springs; four daughters, Carolyn Gordon of Siloam Springs, Marilyn Mapes & husband Eddie of Aurora, MO, Barbara Reynolds & husband Dule of Siloam Springs, and Holly Shackelford & husband of Butch Fayetteville; three sisters, her twin Lillie Howard of Ash Grove, MO, Avalyn Jones of Ash Grove, MO, and Goldie Bailey of Mt Vernon, MO; eleven grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one brother, John Robbins.

Visitation will be held at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home on Thursday, June 28, 2018 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm.

Funeral Services will be held at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Chapel on Friday, June 29, 2018 at 10:00am. Burial will be held at the Oak Hill Cemetery under the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Siloam Springs. To sign the online guestbook please go to www.backstrom-pyeatte.com.
