When Robert Taylor Kirkwood was born on April 30, 1921, in Arkansas, his father, Robert, was 34 and his mother, Laura, was 33. He married Sara Maude Roberts on June 1, 1948. They had one child during their marriage. He died on May 14, 1989, in Conway, Arkansas, at the age of 68, and was buried in Stuttgart, Arkansas.
