Patricia Short Welch, age 72, of Hot Springs, passed away Friday, December 13, 2019.
She was born on January 17, 1947, in Little Rock, the daughter of Pervia Lee Short and Erma Charlene Wilder Short.
She was preceded in death by an infant son; her parents; and her brother, Charlie Joseph Short.
Patricia was Pentecostal in her faith. Before her retirement, she was employed by Levi Towers as a monitor. She adored her family and friends and enjoyed talking on the telephone with them.
She is survived by two sons, Charles Welch of Valliant, Oklahoma and Darrell Welch of Amity; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Helen Short of Crestview, Florida; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, December 16, 2019, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood, with Bro. Wendell Magar officiating.
Interment in the Glenwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jonathon Welch, Scott Thomason, Larry “Tink” Thomason, Arlie Francis, Tim McCormick and Gary Whatley.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Robert T. Muldoon and the staff of Genesis Cancer Center in Hot Springs and the staff of Twin Rivers Health and Rehabilitation in Arkadelphia.
