FAYETTEVILLE — Nellie Lavon Edmonds, 76, of Fayetteville, died Wednesday, April 6, 2016, at her home. She was born Feb. 20, 1940, in Colgate, Okla., to William and Bitha Hall McKinney.

Nellie was a hard worker throughout her life. She was devoted to the care of her family and enjoyed caring for others.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

She is survived by five children, Rick Harmon and wife Leanna of Lowell, Ron Harmon and wife Teresa of Santa Paula, Calif., Leana Smith and husband Steve of Fayetteville, Leamon Dale Harmon of Bakersfield, Calif., Nellie McCulley of Springdale; one brother, Billy McKinney of Stuart, Okla.; eight grandchildren, Ryan Harmon and wife Nicole, Amanda Harmon, Tera Harmon, Ronnie Harmon and fiancee Leslie, Amber Read and husband Robert, Tyler Smith, Nicole Vasquez, Hunter McCulley, and five great-grandchildren, Rayleigh Harmon, Jagger Harmon, Ava Bradley, Ashlynn Read and Harper Bradley.

A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, April 9, at Bluff Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Heritage Funeral Home; online guest book at www.heritageofnwa.com.
