Charles "Charley" Richison Sr., 81, of Charleston, formerly of Beebe, passed away Friday Sept. 9, 2011. He was born Dec. 22, 1929, to Earl and Nell (Bolin) Richison. He graduated from Arkansas Tech University of Russellville with a business degree. He played football for the Wonder Boys and was named to the All-American team. Charley also served his country in the Army during the Korean War. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing. He is survived by children; Jill Harrison of Charleston, Sue Richison of Fort Smith, Sara (Chuck) Thompson of Greenwood, Kenny (Janie) Richison of Tunas, Mo., Joe Richison (Sharon) of Salem, Ala., Charles Richison Jr. of Centerton, Rick (Janice) Watson of Beebe and Tonia (Terry) Weatherford of Jacksonville; 16 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. Charley is preceded in death by his wife, Linda; parents, and sisters, Earlene Henson and Sara Martin. Family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Sunday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 12, 2011, at Westbrook Funeral Home, with burial in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Floyd.
