September 10, 1923 - June 15, 2014
Lessie Milner Porterfield, 90, of Camden, AR passed away Sunday, June 15, 2014 at Ouachita County Medical Center with both of her daughters by her side. She was born in Stephens, AR to W.B. and Gertrude Smith Milner on September 10, 1923. Mrs. Porterfield was a faithful member of Cullendale First Baptist Church and a member of the Civil Air Patrol. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt. She loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter, fisher, and trapper. She will be forever loved and forever missed.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Holcombe Milner; sister, Irene Sweezy; nephew, Jimmie Reid; and niece, Brenda Devillier.
She is survived by her daughters, Debby Billins and husband, Jerry and René Garcia; grandchildren, Kerri Billins, Scott Garcia, and Justin Billins and wife, Jaclyn; great-grandchildren, Talyn Billins, Parker Garcia, Austyn Oholendt, Tatum Billins, and Cru Billins, nephews, Willie Milner and Richard Milner, caregiver and best friend, Stephanie Harrell; and Loving Companion, Hatchet, The Dog.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at Proctor Funeral Home with Dr. Wade Totty officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 6:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to Cullendale First Baptist Church Building Fund, 1850 Cash Road, Camden, AR 71701 or Ouachita County Medical Center Hospice, 685 California Ave, Camden, AR 71701.
