Nancy Jean Culp Stewart was born September 27, 1950 in El Dorado, Arkansas to Mr. S.J. Culp and Mrs. Eursleen Roberson Culp. She departed this life’s journey on Sunday morning, July 8, 2018, at CHI St. Vincent – Doctor’s Hospital in Little Rock, AR.

At an early age she united with First Baptist Church located on Cordell Ave in El Dorado, AR. She later united with Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church #2 under the leadership of Rev. Felton Burgie. Nancy was raised by her grandparents Herman Roberson and Mattie Roberson. She was a 1968 graduate of Booker T. Washington High School. There she met the love of her life Odell “Winky” Stewart and on June 20, 1968, they were united in holy matrimony. To this consecrated union they were blessed with two children Orlando and Denise. They lived a lifetime of love and togetherness until Odell was called into eternity on June 6, 2007.

In 1975, Nancy started working for Union Medical Center of El Dorado, AR there she was a Sterile Processing Tech in Surgery and was employed there for forty-two years and retired July 7, 2017.

Nancy was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. She was a sweet, loving, kind and gentle woman who was loved by everyone she came in contact with. She loved her family, cooking, watching sports, shopping, traveling, playing candy crush, watching wheel of fortune and lifetime on television. She enjoyed watching her favorite football team the Dallas Cowboys and her favorite basketball players were Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers and Stephen Curry with the Golden State Warriors. She loved planting and growing flowers outside and inside of her home. Her most joyous moments were spending time with children and grandchildren.

Nancy Stewart is preceded in death by her husband Odell “Winky” Stewart, her father Mr. S.J. Culp, her mother Mrs. Eursleen Culp, her sister JoAnn Ellison Ford and grandparents Herman Roberson and Mattie Lee Roberson.

She leaves to cherish her memories; a son Orlando Odell Stewart (Ca’Letha) of El Dorado, AR, a daughter Denise Stewart-Page of Camden, AR; four grandchildren, Jacquelyn Adams of Mark Tree, AR, Corneliuss Page of Camden, AR, Michael Page of Camden, AR and Ryan Stewart of El Dorado, AR, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She cherished the memories of those friends who came by and visited and helped her during her time at home while she was sick.

Public visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Sims Mortuary. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 15, 2018 at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church #2 with Rev.Felton Burgie, eulogist. Interment will be at Mt.
