When Houston Andrew (Andy) Hamilton was born on August 15, 1906, in Griffithville, Arkansas, his father, Houston, was 32 and his mother, Alice, was 31. He married Alma Elizabeth Pearson in 1925. They had two children during their marriage. He died in September 1980 in his hometown at the age of 74, and was buried in Searcy, Arkansas.
