September 8, 1888 - October 9, 1965
Camden - Mrs. Callie R. Silliman, 77, wife of W. E. Silliman, well known insurance man and founder of the First Federal Savings and Loan Association of Camden, died at 2:15 p.m. Saturday in a local hospital. She was a native of Faustina (Calhoun County) and came to Camden in October, 1922 with Silliman. She was a member of the First Methodist Church. Funeral services were held Monday at 2 p.m. at the First Methodist Church by Proctor Funeral Service. Besides her husband she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Dolores Silliman Sheets and Miss Lulu Sue Silliman of Camden, four brothers, Grover C. Dunn of Camden, Truett Dunn and Allen Dunn noth of Hampton and Hugh Dunn of Minden, La., three sisters, Mrs. Joe B. Good and Mrs. Chester McClendon of Hampton and Mrs. Hulon M. Stone of Beebe, and three grandchildren. (The El Dorado Times - October 11, 1965)
