Mr. Johns and his wife were pioneer residents of Luxora. He was a brother of N. Johns, pioneer Blytheville merchant, and Mrs. Gabriel Mike of Manila, pioneer resident. Mr. Johnson had lived in 50 years. He was a native of Bategrone, Lebanon, and was active in Mississippi County farming and financial affairs.
