Frances C. Burgess Streeter, age 80, of Lake Village, died Wednesday,
February 05, 2014, at Chicot Memorial Medical Center in Lake Village. She was born September 25, 1933, in Lake Village, the daughter of the late Lynn Burgess and Alberta Tharp Burgess and was a retired nurse’s aide and a member of Bayou Mason Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, by a son, Ricky Slaughter, 2 daughters, Lori Ann Slaughter and Alice Carol Geater, 3 brothers, David Burgess, Ray Burgess and Buddy Burgess and by a granddaughter, Stephanie Slaughter.
Survivors are her husband, Scott Streeter of Lake Village; 2 sons, James
Dale Slaughter of Lake Village and Steve Slaughter and wife Peggy, of Star City; a daughter, Sharon Slaughter Talkington and husband Joe, of La Place, Louisiana; a brother, J. D. Burgess of Robertsdale, Alabama; 2 sisters, Eunice Hackett and Diane Burgess, both of Monticello; 7 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren, step greatgrandchildren and nieces and nephews. Visitation is from 6 to 8 PM Friday, February 7, 2014 at Bishop Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, February 8, 2014, at Bishop Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ken Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Trafalgar Cemetery under the direction of Bishop Funeral Home of Lake Village. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bayou Mason Baptist Church.
