Ruth Joy Smith, 95, of Texarkana, AR. died Saturday, February 4, 2012 at her home. Born May 23, 1916 in Fouke, AR. She was member of Seventh Day Baptist Church of Texarkana, contributor to the Arkansas Poets Roundtable.
Survivors are a son and daughter -in-law James and Betty Smith of Florence, AL; two daughters and son-in-law Betty Scott of Texarkana, Shirley and Tom Smith of Montgomery, AL; one sister Janette Speck of Port Orange, FL; two brothers Jim FitzRandolph of Urbana, OH and Ron FitzRandolph of Milton, WI; fourteen grandchildren; 24 great-
Services will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at East Memorial Chapel - Downtown with James Ray Smith officiating.
Burial will be in East Memorial Gardens under the direction of East Funeral Home - Downtown.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 noon until the time of the service on Tuesday.
