June 6, 1926 - January 30, 2013
Gayle Meadows Amason, 86, of El Dorado, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013, at the Medical Center of South Arkansas following a sudden illness.
She was born June 6, 1926, to Ira Washington and Annie Lee Staggs Meadows in Greenwood, La.
She was a member of College Avenue Church of Christ and the Primetimers. Gayle was a volunteer with RSVP, co-owner of Holland Iron Works, an avid cat lover, and loved to sew and paint.
Preceding her in death were her parents; and brother, Wayne Meadows.
Survivors include her brother, John Meadows (Elaine) of El Dorado; three nephews, Mike Meadows (Cathy) of El Dorado, Rusty Meadows (Nancy) of Searcy, and Scott Meadows (Pam) of Hot Springs; and two nieces, Laura Jones (Rocky) of Rogers, and Kathy Genry (Scott) of Dahlonega, Ga.; several great-nieces and nephews; and several great-great nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 1, at Arlington Memorial Park under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors with Bro. Dan Williams and Bro. Kent Jobe officiating.
