Charles William Karnes, 75, died last night at his farm home near West Fork, where he was born December 6, 1868. Funeral arrangements in charge of the Nelson Savage Funeral Home are incomplete.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Alta Karnes, six sons, Sherman of Pico, Calif., Stirman of Cane Hill, Herman of Fayetteville, Leonard of Westminster, Calif., Fay of West Fork and John of the United States Army in India; two daughters, Mrs Glen Richmond of Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. Loyd Shanks of West Fork; one brother, Andrew J. Karnes of West Fork; and 12 grandchildren.

Mrs. Alta Karnes, 93, of Route 2, West Fork, died in a local hospital Thursday. She was born Aug. 13, 1873 in West Fork, the daughter of William L. and Mary Johnson Alexander and was a member of the Methodist Church.

Survivors are five sons, Herman of Fayetteville, Stirmam of Cane Hill, Fay of West Fork, Leonard of Westminster, Calif., and John of Pico Rivera, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Glen Richmond of Downey, Calif. and Mrs. Dean Shanks of West Fork; one brother, Frank Alexander of Fayetteville; one sister, Miss Ella Alexander of Fayetteville; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. with burial in Karnes Cemetery.
