Donald Lafon Shields 85, of Eudora, AR passed away Wednesday, August 8,
2012 at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS.
He was born on September 6, 1926 in Louisville, MS to the late Silas and Leona Pearson Shields. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Ann Cain Shields, a daughter Peppy Shields Chaillnor, a stepson Ron Ramshur and a sister Margaret Shields Fagan.
Mr. Shields served in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of Ross Van Ness Community Church. He was a professional junker and antique collector.
He is survived by two sons; Donald Silas Shields of DeKalb MS and Daniel
Lafon Shields of Texas, two daughters; Donna Shields Warren of Panama City FL and Joni Shields Guthrie of Petal MS, eleven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and numerous extended family members and friends.
Graveside service will be 2:00pm Sunday, August 12, 2012 at Mt. Carmel
Cemetery in Eudora, AR with Rev. Kenneth Watt officiating. No visitation.
