PEA RIDGE — Charles Hardy, 87, of Pea Ridge died June 9, 2005, at Innisfree Nursing Center in Rogers. He was born July 6, 1917, in Pea Ridge to Wesley Theopolis and Annie Elizabeth Harris Hardy. He owned Hardy's Plumbing from 1942 to 1951 at which time he moved to Joplin, Mo. He returned to Pea Ridge in 1954 and was owner of the Pea Ridge Garage until 1967. He began employment with the city of Pea Ridge in 1967 and was responsible for the water, wastewater and street departments until his retirement in 1994. He received the Northwest District of Arkansas Water & Pollution Control Association Individual Award in 1985; the Pollution Control Outstanding Achievement Individual Award and was named District and State Man of the Year by the Arkansas Water Works and Pollution Control Association, both in 1986. In 1992, he was recognized by Pea Ridge and the state for a distinguished record of work performance for older employees in America's work force. He was a member of Mt. Vernon Presbyterian Church in Pea Ridge.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Mary Ann Hardy of the home; three sons, Gary Hardy and wife Joyce of Bentonville, Joe Hardy and wife Judy of Dallas and Scott Hardy of Pea Ridge; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Mount Vernon Presbyterian Church in Pea Ridge with Brian Tidwell officiating. Burial will be at Pea Ridge Cemetery under the direction of Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.

PEA RIDGE — Mary Ann Miller Hardy, 93 of Pea Ridge, Ark., passed away Feb. 5, 2019, at Ashley Health and Rehab in Rogers, Ark. Mary Ann was born in Pea Ridge on Sept. 26, 1925, to Ralph Miller and Frances Mae Webb Miller.
Mary Ann was married to Charles W. Hardy on July 9, 1942, in Pineville, Mo., and was preceded by Charles on June 9, 2005. Also, preceding Mary Ann are her parents and her brother, Charles Huntington Miller.
Survivors are three sons, Gary G. Hardy and his wife Joyce of Lexington, S.C.; D. Joe Hardy of Washburn, Mo.; Scott W. Hardy of Pea Ridge, Ark.; six grandchildren, G. Shawn Hardy and wife Stacy, C. Eric Hardy, Kristopher Hardy and wife Stefanie, Dawn Hardy Mounce and husband Bryan Mounce, Wesley Hardy, Elizabeth Hardy Sturges and husband Kenny, eight great-grandchildren, Hanna, Chloe, Alyssa, Townsend, Tallulah, Valla, Shepherd and Adrienne.
Mary Ann was a 1943 graduate of Pea Ridge High School. She lived her entire life as a resident of Pea Ridge. She was a wife, a homemaker, and a mother. She worked at an early age in her father's packaged drug store in downtown Pea Ridge, as well she later worked for Munsingwear, Phillips Grocery, and Emerson Electric. She was a lifelong member of the Mt. Vernon Presbyterian Church of Pea Ridge. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Service is set for 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11 at Sisco Funeral Home Chapel in Pea Ridge. Arrangements are under the direction of Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge and interment is in Pea Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mt. Vernon Presbyterian Church of Pea Ridge, 1300 N. Davis, Pea Ridge, Ark., 72751.
