Mrs. Nelle L. Brady Cooper, 63, of Atkins, died Saturday, September 26, 2009 at the Pinewood Health & Rehabilitation Center in Crossett. Mrs. Cooper was a native of Ashley County; a resident of Atkins for the past nine years; a resident of Crossett for the past three months and a former resident of Hamburg, Arkansas and Oak Grove, Louisiana for many years. She was a retired school teacher having taught in Oak Grove, Louisiana and she was a member of the First Baptist Church in Atkins.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Lee Roy & Irene Dingler Brady.

She is survived by her husband, Loyd Cooper of Atkins; a son, John Parker and wife, Rhonda; a daughter, Carla Parker, all of Crossett; three step-sons, Bob Cooper of Idaho, Tom Cooper of Shreveport, LA and John Cooper of Van Buren; three brothers, Thomas Brady of Alabama, Sam Brady of Atlanta, Georgia and Louie Ray Brady of Hamburg; three sisters, Clyda Fay Sims and Lois Hopper Pennington both of Hamburg and Sue Nash of Atlanta, Georgia; six grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Funeral services are 10 a.m., Tuesday, September 29, 2009 in the chapel of Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home with Rev. Joel Mooney officiating. Burial will be in the Trafalgar Cemetery. Pallbearers are Johnny Ray Brown, Jerry Hopper, Don Wilcox, Parrish Griffin, Walter Hill, Tom Cooper, Chris Cooper and Terry Cooper.
