Pearl Lee Call, 95, of Siloam Springs, AR, passed away Thursday, April 9, 2015 at the Siloam Springs Regional Hospital.

Pearl was born at home in Gentry, AR, on April 24, 1919, the son of Ora Lee Call and Mary Alice Pilkerton Call. Pearl served in the Army Air Corps during WW II in the south Pacific as a Weather Observer/Teletype Technician and participated in the Battle of Iwo Jima. He married Ruby Call on Oct 1, 1949 in Siloam Springs, who preceded him in death. Pearl worked for the Arkansas Western Gas Company and was a long time mail carrier in Siloam Springs for the U.S. Postal Service. He was a member of the VFW and a member and longtime Elder at the First Assembly of God.

He is survived by a brother in law and sister in law, Paul and Margie Hensley of Keller, TX; two nephews, Scott and Daniel Hensley; six nieces, Lynda Philpot, Gail Peabody, Sherryl White, Regina Hensley, Rebecca Coffman, and Golda Walters; several cousins including, Noeda and Bill Pilkerton, Betty Lancaster, Ann Carruth, Ron Barnes, Barbara Dobboni, Bonnie Willard, Jim Berry and Judy Beerman; along with a host of friends.

Graveside services will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery on Monday, April 13, 2015 at 2:00pm. Pastors David McFerron and George McFerron will officiate the service under the direction of the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Siloam Springs.

SILOAM SPRINGS — Ruby Faye Call, 89, of Siloam Springs died Jan. 25, 2007, at Quail Ridge Living Center in West Siloam Springs, Okla. She was born July 23, 1917, in Newton County to John Lewis and Martha Ella Addings Hensley. She married Pearl Lee Call on Oct. 1, 1949. She was a homemaker and a nurse for several years at Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital. She was a member of First Assembly of God in Siloam Springs.

Survivors include her husband, Pearl Lee Call of Siloam Springs; two brothers, Lewis Hensley of Oklahoma City, Paul Hensley in Tulsa, Okla.; one sister, Ida Philpot of Fort Worth, Texas.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. today at Oak Hill Cemetery in Siloam Springs with the Rev. Lonnie Nelson officiating.
