When Wren Valentine Saunders was born on February 14, 1873, in Lauderdale, Tennessee, his father, Christopher, was 28 and his mother, Malina, was 23. He married Mabel C Sexton (1890–1971) ( Gardena, Los Angeles, California) on May 10, 1903. They had seven children in 17 years. He died on June 21, 1949, at the age of 76, and was buried in Walker, Arkansas.
