When Mary William "Mollie" Young was born on July 30, 1850, in Bolivar, Tennessee, her father, James, was 28, and her mother, Elizabeth, was 18. She married Lewis Charles "LC" Nuckolls on January 16, 1868, in Hardeman, Tennessee. They had 20 children in 34 years. She died on October 20, 1948, in White, Arkansas, at the age of 98, and was buried in Walker, Arkansas.
