Frankie Iona Gurnsey Harris, 80, of Sparkman died Tuesday January 7, 2014 at Ouachita County Medical Center in Camden. Born February 18, 1933 at Sheridan, she was a daughter of the late Albert Franklin Gurnsey and Helen Eugenia House Gurnsey. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Charlotte Bradley Wagnon, and Marianne Rogers; two grandchildren, Raymond Walters, Jr. and Casey Wayne Smith. She is survived by her husband, Nathan Clayton Harris of Sparkman; son Randal Clayton Harris and his wife Linda of Sparkman; two daughters, Mary Katherine Purifoy and her husband Bart of Camden, Hilda Jane Griffis and her husband Travis of Bearden; six grandchildren, Benita Sisson, Missy Knight, Ashley Vaughan, Krystal Gosvenor, Blain Harris, Beth Harris; eight great-grandchildren, Cody Poff, Brandi Smith, Hailey Massey, Brooklynn Gosvenor, Taylor Gosvenor, Lanee Vaughan, Libby Vaughan, Huntlee Vaughan; one great-great grandchild, Amelia Madden; and a special friend, Connie Castleberry. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Benton Funeral Home in Bearden. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Holly Springs Cemetery with Rev. David Dillard officiating. In lieu of flowers, arrangements may be made to Holly Springs united Methodist Church or to Holly Springs Baptist Church.
