FAYETTEVILLE — Howard Lee Patton, 86, of Fayetteville passed away on Thursday, Aug. 8, 2013, at his home. He was born on Oct. 6, 1926, in Peggs, Okla.
He was an auto dismantler and retired at age 82.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Leeoma Patton; two sons, Gene Patton and Jackie Patton; and one daughter, Georgia Tinker.
Survivors include his two sons, Harold Patton and Theron Patton, both of Fayetteville; three daughters, Velma Murray of Fayetteville, Joyce Tull of California and Jeanette Glass of Johnson; daughter-in-law, Debbie Patton of Fayetteville; two sisters, Betty Sparks and Mary Dallas, both of Oklahoma; two brothers, Roy Patton of Oklahoma and Donald Patton of California; two caregivers/grandchildren, Amanda Gibson of West Fork and Tina Gibson of Fayetteville; 29 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 11, 2013, at the funeral home.
A funeral service will held 10 a.m. Monday at Beard's Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Lester Shadrick officiating. Burial will follow at the West Fork Cemetery.

GREENLAND — Leeoma Patton, 77, of Greenland died July 21, 2004, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. She was born May 8, 1927, in Peggs, Okla., to Robert Lee and Alice Spradin Brooksher. She was a member of the Cherokee Tribe in Oklahoma. She was a truck driver, a farm laborer and a factory worker. She married Howard Patton, on Sept. 12, 1945.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Howard Patton of the home; four sons, Harold Patton of Greenland, Jack Patton of Malvern, Gene Patton of Greenland and Theron Patton of Fayetteville; four daughters, Velma Phillips of Hindsville, Georgia Tinker of Rogers, Joya Tull of California and Jeanette Glass of Johnson; three sisters, Billie Taylor of Tulsa, Okla., Frankle Shrum of Fort Gibson, Okla., and Marie Harris of Wagoner, Okla.; 28 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Beard's Funeral Chapel in Fayetteville with the Rev. Lester Shadrick officiating.
Burial will be in West Fork Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
