Robert Lewis LaFevers, 78, of Ozark died Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2008, in Ozark. He was a retired school superinten-dent, working in public schools 35 years; an Army veteran; a member of First United Methodist Church in Ozark; and a member of the Arkansas Retired Teachers Association, the Franklin County Retired Teachers Association and AAEA. He was born Oct. 6, 1930, in Paragould to Lewis Franklin and Susan Norine Castleberry LaFevers. He began teaching and coaching in Cotton Plant in 1959. He worked in the Ozark School System from 1967 to 1977 and returned to Ozark upon his retirement in 1992. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, William Lee LaFevers.

Funeral will be 2 p.m. today at First United Methodist Church in Ozark with the Rev. Keith Dodson officiating with burial at Highland Cemetery in Ozark under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.

He is survived by his wife, Sue LaFevers of Ozark; two daughters, Suzanne LaFevers of Ozark and Robyn Neumeier and husband, Tim of Fayetteville; a sister, Lourine Campbell of Ozark; one aunt, Dessie Parvin of Ozark; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Don Neumeier, Tim Neumeier, Clinton Hall, John Hunt, Jesse Tackett and Leon Burrows.

Anna Suellen (Sue) Huggins LaFevers, 80, of Ozark, Arkansas died Thursday, May 7, 2020 in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

She was a homemaker, a retired teachers Aid, member of First United Methodist Church of Ozark, Mission Quilters, UMW Aux., and former member of Beta Sigma Phi.

She was born July 4, 1939 in Cotton Plant, Arkansas to Tom and Nancy Gadberry Huggins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert L. LaFevers; and six brothers, Adrian, Tommy, Roy, Aaron, Darrell, and Herbert Huggins.

She is survived by two daughters, Robyn Neumeier and husband Tim of Fayetteville and Suzanne LaFevers of Ozark; one brother, Louie Huggins of Cotton Plant, Arkansas; a sister in law, Lourine Campbell of Ozark; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at Highland Cemetery with Brother David Hanshaw and Brother Carlton Cross officiating under direction of Shaffer Funeral Home. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers are the Mission Quilters and Taylor Sunday School Class.
