Bobby J. Frizzell, 82, of Magnolia, died Sunday, February 8, 2015 at the Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock.
Bobby was born on September 8, 1932 in Camden to the late Robert and Dixie (Eubanks) Frizzell. He attended Southern State College and received a degree in chemical engineering from Louisiana Tech University in 1955. He served in the United States Army from 1955 – 57, worked as a chemical engineer with International Paper and American Oil Company and was minister at Sunny Acres Church of Christ for 12 years.
He wrote letters to the editor on political views to the Banner-News and to the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette for 15 years. Bobby was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who loved his Lord and family.
Bobby is survived by his wife of 47 years Joy (Tate) Frizzell of Magnolia; his children Leah Bright (Stephen) of Little Rock, Robby Frizzell (Vickie) of Taylor, Cary Frizzell (Jacqueline) of Maumelle; grandchildren Baker Bright, Lexi Bright, and Hannah Bright of Little Rock, Chase Whitehead, Chloe Whitehead, and Caden Frizzell of Taylor, Gretchen Frizzell and Peyton Frizzell of Maumelle; sister Mary Barnes (Jack) of Magnolia; several nephews, nieces, cousins, and a host of friends.


Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, February 13 at Lewis Chapel with Dwayne Scribner officiating. Burial will follow at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Camden under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. of Magnolia.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
