Avis Erma Batchelor, 50, died Monday at a local hospital. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Proctor Funeral Home with the Rev. Burleson officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Proctor Funeral Home of Camden. Mrs. Batchelor was a member of First Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband Pete Batchelor of Camden; two sons, Jimmy Batchelor and Jack Batchelor, both of Camden; three daughters, Mrs. Charlotte Grosskopf of Dallas; Miss Linda Batchelor and Mrs. Judy Lott both of Camden; four brothers, Houston Mc Knight and Herbert McKnight both of Baton Rouge, La.; Noble McKnight of Washington D.C.; Gilbert McKnight of Chicago, Ill.; two sisters, Mrs. Robert Carlson of Lafayette, Colo.; Mrs. Percy Gathwright of Ruston, La. She is also survived by three grandchildren. (Camden News - May 22, 1973)
