Patsy Hunter Liles Stevens, 77, of Searcy, died Monday, October 24 after a six month battle with cancer. She was born August 31, 1934 in 16th section, Arkansas to Dan and Gertie Hunter. She was a wonderful mother, wife, sister and grandmother who loved and was loved by everyone.
Patsy is survived by her husband Verlon Stevens; a son, Mike Liles and his wife Nancy of Searcy; three daughters, Cathy Liles and her husband Randy, Linda Gail Liles of Searcy, and Gay Miller and her husband Bill of Benton; two stepsons, Mike Stevens of Little Rock and Kenny Stevens and his wife Loretta of Searcy; one sister, Leoda Yarbrough of Searcy; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Alton "Ton" Liles, her parents, three sisters, and one brother.
The family would like to thank all the caring and compassionate staff of White County Medical Center and Arkansas Hospice. Visitation will be at Powell Funeral Home of Searcy on Thursday, October 27 from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with interment at White County Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the West Race Baptist Building fund. The family will be at 2216 Pioneer Road of Searcy.
