Bert N. Miller, 71, a retired employee of the city of Blytheville, died early today in Chickasawba Hospital. Born in Tennessee, he was a resident of Blytheville most of his life. He was a member and deacon of the Full Gospel Church.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Virlie Richardson Miller of Blytheville; two daughters, Mrs. Leon Riggs and Mrs. Jimmie Jiles, both of Blytheville; one son, James Miller of Jackson, Tenn.; three stepsons, Sonny James of Blytheville, Max B. James of McHenry, Ill., and Jim James of Port Orchard, Wash.; three brothers, Minton Miller of Blytheville, Jim Miller of Holland and Lawrence Miller of Binghamton, NY; one sister, Mr. John Stovall of Senath; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services will be at 4 p.m. tomorrow in the Full Gospel Church, Rev. Leon Brassfield officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery under the direction of Cobb Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Fay Austin, Floyd Balentine, Freddie Hodge, Max Riggs, R.C. Riggs and Roy Handley.
