Springdale — Loy Thomas, 64, of Springdale, died Sunday at Springdale Memorial Hospital. Born Sept. 17, 1912 in Newton County, Ark., the son of Booker and Martha Thomas Speck, he was a typewriter and business machine repairman; a member of the Disabled American Veterans, he was an Army veteran of World War II.

He is survived by two brothers, Garland Speck of Springdale and Alvin Speck of Hot Springs; a sister Mrs. Pearl McLaughlin of Topeka, Kan.; and two step-sisters, Mrs. Emogene Vaughn and Mrs. Harry Bowlin, both of Springdale.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday in Sisco Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Rogers Cemetery.

Mrs. Iva Marie Thomas, 63, 1406 Lawrence Ave., Springdale, died March 4 in Washington Regional Medical Center. Born Dec. 15, 1912, at Monte Ne, she was the daughter of Damos Haden and Mary Effie Tucker Noland and a member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Loy Thomas of the home; three brothers, Austin Noland and Wesley Noland, Rogers, and Sam Noland, Greensburg, Kan.; and one sister, Mrs. Doris Goodman, Cerritos, Calif.

Funeral services will be Monday at 10 a.m. in Sisco Chapel. Burial will be in Rogers Cemetery under the direction of Sisco.
