SPRINGDALE — Shirley J. Jones, 70 of Springdale died Friday, April 13, 2012, at her home. She was born Dec. 8, 1941, the daughter of Willard Perse and Callie Sims Perse.

She married Howard Jones on Sept. 2, 1961, in Springdale. She was a member of Sonora Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Joe and Terry Perse and a sister, Mary Sue Rogers.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Howard Jones of the home; three daughters, Debra McGee of Springdale, Denise Goodman of Warren, R.I., Dana Jones of Springdale; four grandchildren, Rae-Ann Browers, Stephanie Goodman, Jennifer Goodman and Lenzie McGee; two sisters, Sharon Gooding of Farmington, Betty Stufflebean of Fayetteville; brother, Jeff Perse of Benton, Ark.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday at Moore's Chapel.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Thursday, April 19, 2012, at Sonora Baptist Church with Reverend Danny Williams officiating. Burial will be in Upper Clifty Cemetery under the direction of Moore's
Chapel.

Memorials in her name may be made to Washington Regional Hospice, 34 Colt Square Drive, Fayetteville, AR 72703.
