Mrs. Corinne Cotten Danehower, age 89, a long-time resident of Forrest City, passed away peacefully on August 20th, 2015 at Trinity Place Retirement Community in Columbus, MS following a short illness.

Mrs. Danehower was born April 24th, 1926 in Rives, TN. She was the youngest daughter of Hal Peyton and Beatrice McCaw Cotten. In her early life, she resided in Rives, Lexington, and Memphis TN before attending Erskine College in Due West, SC. Upon her graduation she was employed in Forrest City as a Home Economist for both Rural Electric Arkansas Cooperative and later for the Arkansas Power and Light Company. Mrs. Danehower made her home in the Yocona community of St. Francis County and was an active, long-time member of Graham Memorial Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Danehower was married to local farmer David Enos Danehower in 1951. He preceded her in death on October 6th, 1998. She also was preceded in death by her grandson Matthew Joseph Danehower. She is survived by her daughter Dodie Danehower Maynard of Starkville, MS, and her son David Allen Danehower of Apex, NC.

Interment at Forrest Park Cemetery.
