David M. Garrison, age 73, died of a heart attack suddenly Thursday. Garrison had made his home in Camden for the past 15 years and was born in Nashville, Arkansas Aug. 28, 1881. Survivors include his widow, Martha Price Garrison and three sons, Cecil and James Melvin, both of Camden and Price Garrison of El Dorado. Two daughters, Mrs. W. T. Bowman of Bearden and Irma Garrison of the home and two grandchildren. Survivors also include two brothers, Rial Garrison of Springdale and J. M. Garrison of Athens. Garrison was a member of the Church of Christ and services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the North Madison Church of Christ with C. F. Shirey speaking and assisted by Vaughn Shoffner. Burial will be under the direction of the Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott. (Camden News - February 18, 1955)
