Alice Tabitha Becton was born on November 26, 1884, in Arkansas. She married James Allen Gilpin and they had three children together. She also had one son and one daughter from another relationship. She died on November 25, 1962, in USA at the age of 77, and was buried in West Point, Arkansas.
