When Edith Mae Woodall was born on May 14, 1918, in Letona, Arkansas, her father, Marshall, was 25, and her mother, Gertrude, was 18. She married Thelmer Ernest SWAIN on February 2, 1935, in White, Arkansas. They had two children during their marriage. She died on March 25, 2003, in Searcy, Arkansas, at the age of 84, and was buried in West Point, Arkansas.

When Thelmer Ernest SWAIN was born on June 25, 1914, in Nettleton, Arkansas, his father, Samuel, was 22 and his mother, Violet, was 15. He married Edith Mae Woodall on February 2, 1935, in White, Arkansas. They had two children during their marriage. He died on March 31, 1995, in Searcy, Arkansas, at the age of 80, and was buried in West Point, Arkansas.
