Mr. Thomas David 'Tommy' Stewart, age 98, of Conway, died Friday at the Greenbrier Nursing & Rehab Center in Greenbrier, Arkansas. He had been in poor health for the past several months.
Mr. Stewart was born October 14, 1916, in DeCalb, Mississippi, and was the son of Ervin and Maudie Stewart. He lived in the Widener area most of his life, was a farmer, and was a Charter Member of the Oak Hill Church of God.
Mr. Stewart married Vester Harp in 1936, and she preceded him in death in 1998. He is survived by two sons; Tommy Stewart and Danny Stewart, seven daughters; Maudie Steele, Joyce Brick, Shirley Morgan, Betty Richardson, T. J. Bucklin, Kathy Patrick, and Virginia Stewart, eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. He had one daughter, Ann Raun, and one grandson, who preceded him in death.
Services for Mr. Stewart will be held at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 12:00, noon, Wednesday, with burial in Forrest Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, beginning 11:30, until the time of the service. Stevens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. You may log on to stevensfuneralhome.net for the on line registry.
