October 1, 1957 - February 16, 2018

Services celebrating and remembering the life of Buddy Gerald Wall will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Trinity Baptist Church in Inola. Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m., at Cemetery Ridge in Ozark, Arkansas. Visitation will be from 3-7 on Wednesday, at Trinity Baptist Church in Inola, with family receiving visitors from 5-7. Buddy passed away on Friday, February 16, 2018, surrounded by his family. He was 60. The family has entrusted DeLozier Funeral Service in Chelsea with Buddy’s care.

Born in Torrance, California on October 1, 1957 to Buddy L. Wall and Jerline (Bacon) Flowers, Buddy was raised and educated in Arkansas and Oklahoma, graduating from Charles C. Mason High School in Tulsa. It was during those school days that he developed an appreciation for sports. Buddy excelled on the football field. After graduation he attended Haskell Indian Nations University in Lawrence, Kansas where he played football for the fighting Indians. In 1983, Buddy married Jay Lynn Hardison and their union was gifted with one son, Buddy Jay “BJ”. Buddy provided for his family by working at Wiley Davis Electrical in Tulsa where he was a project manager and estimator. On June 14, 1997, Buddy married the love of his life, Annette O’Neal, in Coweta, Oklahoma. This union became a blended family with two sons, BJ and Jack.

A man’s man if you will, Buddy was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He raised Beagles not only for hunting and field trials, but also for show. Buddy was proudly referred to as the, “Master of Hounds”. In his twenty five plus years of trialing Buddy made five grand champions, fourteen champions in the field, and numerous bench grand champions. He won second place at the little world in 2006 with a dog he named Coal Creek Hoss. Out of all the dogs he handled if you asked Buddy to name his favorite it would have to be the dog he and Annette handled together named O’Neal’s Hogg. No list though would be complete unless you mentioned one other dog that he spoke highly of and that was Island Ridge Sally. Buddy was president of the Sooner State Beagle Club in Pryor for many years. He was treasurer for the Cherokee County Beagle Club in Inola. A club he started with two of his closest friends, Bruce and Jamie. Bowling was another one of Buddy’s past times. His family said he was always quick to let you know that he was part of the three hundred club. He also enjoyed a good game of softball and played on an adult league for several seasons. In later years when the grandchildren and grand girls came along it could be said that “Papa Bud” became two of his favorite words. Buddy enjoyed those special times with his family. These are memories that will be a part of the legacy he leaves behind.

This father, Papa, son, brother, and friend will be missed by all whose lives he touched. Buddy is survived by his sons, BJ Wall and wife Briley, Jack Wood and wife Amy, grandchildren, Chandler June and Madison Grace Wall, Jack, Hannah, and Hayden Wood and Hailey Barnes, mother, Jerline Flowers, sister, Patsy Eyachabbe and husband Curtis, brother, Ted Wall, nieces, nephews, and numerous extended family. Buddy was preceded in death by his wife of twenty years, Annette, and his father, Buddy L. Wall.
