Mrs. Mabel Elizabeth McCollough age 90 of Lexa, former longtime resident of Forrest City died Wednesday, March 27, 2013.
Mrs. McCollough was born July 20, 1922 in Russellville, Arkansas. She was the daughter of Thomas B. Shinn and Elizabeth Parker Shinn. Mrs. McCollough was a retired nurse's aide and a member of the First Baptist Church in Forrest City.
Mrs. McCollough married Sylvester McCollough in 1941 and he preceded her in death in 1981. She is survived by a son John Thomas McCollough; two daughters, Elizabeth Ann Spurgers and husband Berry of Lexa and Angela Kay Dunston and husband Wayne of Cordova, Tennessee; a special niece Connie Caldwell of Greers Ferry. Six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren also survive her.
