SILOAM SPRINGS (Special) -- Mrs. Bertha Marquess, 88, of Siloam Springs, died Wednesday afternoon at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Mary McKinney, after an extended illness. Born April 23, 1873 in Ottowa, Kan., she moved to Siloam Springs as a young girl and spent most of her life in the area. She was married to William Marquess May 8, 1893.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. McKinney and Mrs. Jewell Gibbons of Dallas, Tex., and Mrs. Lillian Coakley of Kansas City, Mo. and a sister, Mrs. Lula Hoover, also of Kansas City.
Funeral Services will he conducted Friday at 2 p.m. at First Christian Church by the Rev. Ralph Fox and the Rev. Jack Steele. Burial will he in Oak Hill Cemetery under direction of Pyeatt Funeral Service.
