Ouida Bean, age 90, of Russellville, died Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at home. She was born on March 15, 1927, in Boydell to Luther Bunyon and Doris Williams Lagrone. She was a member of Second Baptist Church, a former Sunday school teacher, and a member of Dover Dirt Daubers. She served as a secretary for Second Baptist Church in West Helena and was also a secretary at Jerome War Relocation Center. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Robert Allen Bean. Survivors include her husband of 71 years, Chester, of the home; two daughters and son-in-law, Linda Bean of Russellville, and Becky and Bill Kaldem of El Dorado; two sons, Robin Bean of Little Rock, and Larry Bean of Eureka, Missouri; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Edward and Louise Lagrone of Pine Bluff, Kenneth and Darlene Lagrone of Malvern, and Curtis and Marie Lagrone of Dermott; a sister and brother-in-law, Della Jane and Charlie Gladden, of Dermott; four grandchildren and their spouses, Ashley and Donnie Farmer of Atkins, Grant and Shay Kaldem of El Dorado, Heather and Jeff Lewis of Russellville, and Erika and T. J. Funderburg of Smackover; and eight great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 8, 2017 at Shinn Chapel with Rev. Jim Smith officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park and under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5:00-7:00 p.m., at the funeral home. Pallbearers are Chip, Jimmy, and Kenny Lagrone, Royce Gladden, David Bean, Phillip Doyle, and Brian Helms.
