Ray Thomas Willis passed away on April 13, 2019 in Norman, OK. He was born on January 18, 1932 in Mountain View, Arkansas to Herbert and Bitha Willis. They grew up on a farm, and he had 2 brothers, Frank and Jim. After high school, Ray joined the Air Force. While in Mountain View, a trip to the local drugstore led him to fall in love with his future wife, June. They dated for 3 months and were married on March 26, 1955. Together they traveled with his job and raised a family. They lived in Mississippi, Arizona, New Mexico, and eventually settled in Oklahoma after Ray’s retirement. Ray served in many places, including Vietnam, Iceland, Germany, and Labrador, Canada.

While living in Oklahoma, Ray served as an usher for many years at the Tinker Air Force Base Chapel. He loved to fish, golf, and hunt, and enjoyed teaching all of his grandchildren how to shoot. He will be greatly missed.

Ray is preceded in death by his parents; 2 children, Steve and Michelle; and 2 brothers, Frank and Jim. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, June; daughter Sheri (husband Jerry); and grandchildren, Cody, Kathryn, Cade, and Aaron.
