James D. Ferguson, Sr., 76, of Searcy, passed away on Friday, December 12. He was born July 3, 1939 in Hernando, Mississippi, the son of Albert and Adele Ferguson.
James is survived by two sons, James Ferguson, Jr. (Caroline) and Michael Ferguson (Melissa Bradley); two grandsons, James D. Ferguson III “Trey”, III and Johnathan Bradford Ferguson “Ford”. He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and his wife, Carol Ann Ferguson.

Carol Ann Ferguson, resident of Searcy, died Monday, May 28, 2007. She was 62 years of age.
Mrs. Ferguson was born October 10, 1944 in Schulenberg, Texas, the daughter of Fred and Cathlyn Hollien Hubert. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Searcy. Carol Ann was known throughout as a gourmet cook, collecting over 125 cookbooks and numerous recipes. She was a talented painter and at one time taught painting in her home. One of her specialties was Santa Claus' and they can be found throughout Searcy and Jackson, Mississippi. She was a past member of the Searcy Junior Auxiliary and past board member of the Sunshine School. She was a good businesswoman, successfully owning and operating The Silent Goose in Jackson, Mississippi for a number of years.
Carol Ann enjoyed gardening and needlepoint. She never did anything half way, it was always done 100 percent. She was known for her generosity, her love, and her strength.
Survivors include her husband, James D. Ferguson, Sr. of the home; her sons, James D. Ferguson, Jr. of Searcy and Michael Brian Ferguson of Jackson, Mississippi; her mother, Cathlyn Hubert of Jackson, Mississippi; her sisters, Kay Stubbs of Pickens, Mississippi and Cathy Lad of Metarie, Louisiana; her grandsons, James D. (Trey) Ferguson, III and Jonathan Bradford "Ford" Ferguson.
She was preceded in death by her father, Fred Hubert.
