ROGERS — Mavis Lea Taylor, 79, of Rogers, Ark., passed away at her home Dec. 11, 2013, surrounded by her family. She was born Jan. 31, 1934, in Lead Hill, Ark., to Charles Lewis and Calista Wallace Myers.
Mavis was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed watching all the grandchildren growing up and especially enjoyed holding the babies.
Mavis loved animals, especially her little Chihuahua, Coco. She was a beautician for many years and owned her own beauty shop for a time. Mavis loved to dance and was a ballroom dance instructor for awhile in Lubbock and in Dallas, Texas. She enjoyed plants and flowers and could grow anything.
She is preceded in death by her parents; one son, Ronald Ray Taylor; and one great-grandchild, Carter Glen Doughty.
Mavis is survived by a daughter, Pam Doughty and husband, Randy, of Rogers, Ark.; three grandchildren, Christopher Robert Doughty, Jennifer Delane Stroud and Tiffany Renee Doughty; and nine great-grandchildren, Cameron, Christian, Kaine, Caleb, Maddilyn, Taylor, Tyler, Mikayla and Thomas.
Memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013, at Circle of Life Legacy Village Chapel in Bentonville, Ark.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services of Rogers.
