Obie Lou Owens Barnett, 87, of Junction City, passed away January 4, 2020 at Timberlane Health and Rehab. She was born January 24, 1932 to the late Jesse and Clyde Graves Owens of the Hopewell Community.
Obie is preceded in death by her parents, first husband AL Martin, her second husband, Albert Barnett, Jr.; one brother Oral “O.J.” Owens and one sister Lucille O. Helm.
She was a member of Three Creeks Baptist Church.
Obie is survived by two brothers, Virgil Owens of Jackson, Tennessee and Claude Owens of Waldo; four sisters, Velton Rodriquez of Trujillo, Peru, Nan and Thelda Owens of Hopewell Community and JoAnn Willcox of Pensacola, Florida; step-daughters, Bonnie Young (Carl) of Batesville and Bonnie Howorth (Jack) of Pennsylvania; step-son, Ben Barnett (Cecilia) of North Carolina; sister-in-law, Maerine Talbot of Hot Springs and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 PM on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at Three Creeks Baptist Church with funeral service immediately following. Interment will follow at Hopewell Cemetery under the direction of Perry’s Funeral Chapels.
Serving as Pallbearers are Travis Patterson, Kevin Owens, Deano Dawson, Stan Owens, Charles Patterson, and Glen Wheelus.
