Mrs. Willie Mae Taylor Roden, age 90, a resident of Gillham, died Sunday, July 18, 2004 in the DeQueen Regional Medical Center.
She was born August 19, 1913 in Gillham to W. T. and Rose Annyer Murdock Taylor. She was a homemaker and a Methodist.
Mrs. Roden was preceded in death by her husband, John Ballard Roden on March 4, 1966; and two sons, Rafe Doyle Roden and Raye Cleve Roden.
She is survived by one daughter, Mary Roberson of Gillham; one sister, Mayme Caldwell of DeQueen, eight grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Roden were held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 21, 2004, in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Homer Frachiseur officiating. Burial followed in the Redmen Cemetery. The family received friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 20, at the funeral home."
