Winston Ezell, 71, of Corning, died Aug. 22, 2001 at Arkansas Methodist Hospital in Paragould. Born Aug. 4, 1930, in Athens, Ala., son of the late Lemuel Horace and Jessie Elizabeth Owen Ezell, he was a retired self-employed construction worker and served with the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was affiliated with the Church of Christ. He owned and operated Ezell Pipe and Ditching and worked with land owners and operators in New Madrid, Scott and Stoddard counties in Missouri.

On Nov. 14, 1954, he married Frances Ezell who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: two sons and one daughter-in-law, Jim Ezell and Wayne and Kolynn Ezell; one daughter and son-in-law, Sandy and Randy Anders; one brother, James Ezell; two sisters, Sarah Springer, and Martha Neal; and 12 grandchildren.

One son, Larry Ray Ezell, preceded him in death on May 22, 1999.

Visitation was held at Ermert Funeral Home in Corning where services were scheduled with Mark Springer officiating.

Burial followed in the Corning Cemetery.
